yes, i am aware that symantec doesn't want the programs closed via the 'end task' button in the close program dialog. that's what this whole alt+tab thing is about in the first place.

so, to make a long story endless, if they don't want me to use the end task button on the close program dialog, and they want me to use the alt+tab switching method, how can i close all the programs that are running if alt+tab isn't displaying icons for them? i get about 4 or 5 icons (for browser windows and printer server) displayed, and i can easily close browser windows using the close "x", but there are easily another 10 apps running in the background that i usually shut down via the 'end task' route. pressing alt+tab doesn't get me to these background applications.

clear as mud?

:)
