Hmmm,

Not so sure about that! The only time I use my AOL account is when I have a cable outage (or when I am out of town)
So, I basically use AOL to 'backup' my cable modem.

I pay the minimum $4/month for 3hours/month (I think!)
However, whenever people ask me about getting on the internet, I tell them to get AOL because I think it is good for 'beginners'
and also because you can get a local AOL number from almost anywhere in the country.
