We came at Ranier's post from different angles, Mike. For starters I thought Ranier was asking me to start another thread, and I decided to recruit him to do the work instead <g>. His resume shows he's a market pro, and you know how I love to get smart people doing the hard work for me.
Who would object to the money so many made in Dell, the King of Kings?
Imo, Dell has never been more than a PWA. But that didn't stop a whole bunch of dellheads from becoming dellionaires. I just wasn't one of them :-(.
gorillas, kings and, yep, shiny pebbles.
Mike, my attitude about shiny pebbles has been understood. They can be great investments, and, in fact, I bought one yesterday, rnwk. Sometimes they turn into G&K's, but mostly you have to time them, and that's their biggest drawback. As a hard core G&K <Silverback Division> investor, I keep SPs to a small portion of my portfolio, a few percent at most. I wish I could con someone into managing an espee portfolio for the thread. Then we'd have a way to track the great small cap recommendations that were refused admission to the GKI or W&W portfolios.
