Regarding IRA account

So your saying it's okay to trade in and out of the same stock as many times as you like in the same day?

What about buying more stock then you can pay for (by mistake, because of poor or slow balance updates) and then selling it for a profit later on in the same day?

For example you have $17,250 available, you buy 500 shares for 35 costing $17,500 and sell it at 36 for $18,000. Making $750. Is that illegal and if so shouldn't the brokers web-site flag the trade before it's made with an error message, saying "You don't have enough money" or something?
