Joe, your fame just keeps spreading wider and wider .
3-4 months ago, it was Novell is a good company, BUT ... It now seems to be Novell is a dead company, BUT ...
Maybe a turn has been made. Wow, will we be force over to the Novell is looking up thread? (no offense to the wild-eyed optomists over there )
But, <"They didn't turn on a dime like everyone else did to embrace the Internet," said Pierre Hulsebus, sales manager for Entre Computer Services, a Novell reseller in Grand Rapids, Mich. "Novell may have good products next year, but history shows that the ones that can't keep up fade away."
And according to one user, the main Internet component of that product doesn't work properly: Novell's IP/IPX gateway, which enables IntranetWare users to connect to the Internet, will not pass Internet Post Office Protocol 3 E-mail, said Hulsebus. So far, Novell has not been able to fix the problem, he added.
Novell officials were unavailable for comment on the problem.>
A. Why is Novell unavailable for comment? B. Why do Novell resellers have more negative things to say about Novell than positive? (or is it just to easy to find the negative items?)
Hopefully, Dr. Eric will let people at Novell answer back.
Lastly, on the Nightly Business Report, it mentioned the Novell/Netscape's Novonyx deal. The amazing thing is they showed "Rock The Net" ad (WSJ's version) and a 2nd one of Novell's (It's Everywhere (?) or maybe Everything). Wow, two sighting of RTN in one day (and one of them on TV). Wonder if the 'free' advertising will do better than the $20 mill.
Mat (fainting away).
Oh, Joe,
<I mean, "I" didn't have anything to do with the stock's southern slide, did I? >
I don't recall you saying you sold at below 10 or putting out a sell recommendation? Maybe, the institutions thought you were going from an accumulate to a hold tho'. <G> |
