DemandVideo chooses nCUBE: For those interested.

DemandVideo Forms Key Alliance with nCUBE

Mountain View, Calif. June 10, 1999 -- DemandVideo today announced nCUBE as the server for its video on demand (VOD) services. Under the terms of the agreement, DemandVideo and nCUBE will combine their technical expertise to provide reliable, high-throughput digital video to new network operators nationwide.

We researched several server vendors and were impressed with the highly scalable nCUBE platform which utilizes the Oracle Video Server (OVS) system software," said Bruce Campbell, President and CEO of DemandVideo. "Integrating DemandVideo's comprehensive VOD solution with nCUBE's scalable parallel processing technology creates a compelling and very competitive service offering."

DemandVideo's 24-hour, 7-day interactive video store offers prompt access to a large selection of in-home video titles through a remote navigator with VCR-like functions -- pause, play, fast forward, and rewind. DemandVideo will customize content as well as back office and billing solutions for new network operators.

nCUBE's all digital servers deliver up to 20,000 simultaneous and independent MPEG video streams in a single footprint. The OVS software enables customers to store, manage and deliver full-motion, full-screen video and high fidelity audio to PCs, network computers, workstations and set-top boxes over a variety of networks.

We appreciate this green field opportunity to work with DemandVideo to deliver their interactive VOD application over two-way broadband networks. DemandVideo and nCUBE's alliance is critical for launching interactive multimedia into the mainstream," said Mike Pohl President of nCUBE.
