Mountain View, Calif. June 28, 1999 -- DemandVideo, the leading supplier of video on demand (VOD) to alternative broadband telecommunication service providers, today announced it is working with Oracle Corp. (NASDAQ:ORCL) to integrate the Oracle Video Server software solution with DemandVideo's platform.

This alliance is expected to enable video on demand customers to achieve the full revenue generating benefits of DemandVideo's 24-hour, 7 day a week, interactive video rental service and experience true video on demand with full VCR functionality, which is enabled by Oracle Video Server. The alliance proves to be instrumental in the convergence of entertainment, business applications and interactive technology.

"We have evaluated other vendors' video server applications and found the long-term experience of Oracle Video Server to be the most stable and robust operating system on the market. This alliance is an opportunity to demonstrate the strength of DemandVideo using a proven server application. Oracle offers superior, yet practical solutions that leverage the emergence of VOD technology," said Bruce Campbell, President and CEO, DemandVideo.
