Sam, thanks for the Meridian article. I really like Snap as a cheap storage solution for businesses or office locations with <50 employees. After Q-MDCD moves forward, the low-end devices could evolve and migrate into solutions for larger companies and systems.

In the "weblications" article that you posted, the theme of ASPs rang a bell. Jim Seymour who writes for theStreet.com (www.thestreet.com) wrote a two-part series on ASPs and their participants. Storage is always the theme that comes to mind when I think of these ASPs. The other thing I think of is bandwidth.

Web servers for home networks are also themes to consider for storage solutions. In the next ten years, homes will need their appliances and electricals run from some kind of computer system or weblication. Lots to think about.
