Delicious Alternative Desserts Ltd. Launches New Line of Cadbury(TM) Branded Ice Cream, Announces Resignation of Director
TORONTO, ONTARIO--Robert C. Harrison, President and C.E.O. of Delicious Alternative Desserts Ltd. (DAD) today announced the launch of its new line of Cadbury(TM) branded ice cream into Canadian grocery stores. This new product introduction offers consumers two of Cadbury's best selling candy bar brands in 1 litre ice cream tubs: Caramilk(R) and Crispy Crunch(R). Initial consumer response to these premium products has been tremendous. "Canadian consumers appreciate superior quality ice cream and these products combine premium vanilla ice cream with the equivalent of two chocolate bars in every one litre container. No other candy bar branded ice cream on the market gives consumers this quality," remarked Harrison.
The Cadbury products are manufactured under license by Cadbury Chocolate Canada Inc. (C.C.C.I.) at DAD's new state-of-the-art facility in Stoney Creek. "We are excited by the launch of Cadbury Caramilk and Cadbury Crispy Crunch ice creams and believe that consumers will be pleased with the superior quality of these products. This line of ice cream is very consistent with the consumer's expectation of the Cadbury name and of our chocolate bar products" said David Emsley, Director of Licensed Brands for C.C.C.I.
The Cadbury line of ice cream is currently available in many Ontario grocery stores including: A&P, Dominion, Super Fresh, Ultra Food and Drug stores, Bruno's Fine Foods, Sobey's, Hasty Markets, Kitchen Table, Pusateri's as well as other independent grocery stores. These items will be available across Canada shortly as DAD, through its distribution network, has begun building distribution in Western and Atlantic Canada.
The company also wishes to announce that it has received and accepted the resignation of Bruce Bowman as a director of the company. The company expresses its appreciation to Mr. Bowman for his contributions as a director.
DAD is a Canadian public company trading under the stock symbol "DD" on the Alberta Stock Exchange. DAD offers a prestigious portfolio of licensed brands including Ben & Jerry's(R) super premium ice cream and frozen yogurt, Weight Watchers(TM) ice milks and novelties, Mr. Cookie Face(R) ice cream sandwiches and Stoney Creek(R) brand ice creams.
