John, My information came from someone who looks beyond the SEC filings and whose attention is directed in a forward direction as opposed to concentrating in the rear view mirror!
It just might have come from the same general direction where I learned of Valence's involvement in the Mars program and the Army's high tech rifle. I remember you posted emphatically that they were not involved in the Mar's program. Have you been able to clarify these matters since?
I admit my timing has been lousy. We know it has taken much longer than expected. Competitors have dropped out, and with the 400 patents, Cobalt prices going up by a factor of 4, and Valence's patented use of cheap and plentiful Manganese now outperforming cobalt by 50%, do you suppose it will prove worth the long wait?
Will IBM, Dell, Apple, Compaq, Micron, Winbook, Gateway etc have any customers who will pay for 50% to 100% more battery run time? If supply is limited, would it be reasonable to expect premium pricing and a nice profit margin? Should we believe Valence when they talk about being in the black by this Fall?
If a .0162% weighting factor is posted tomorrow on Russel's website, will you conclude it was a guess on my part? If it was a pure guess, why not .0165 or .0166? You know how I tend to be optimistic.
Let's see what tomorrow brings. |
