I don't think that I can explain the sudden move ... my speculation probably wouldn't be any better than most of the other posters on this thread.

I have seen events like this in my previous career though ... if we pay attention, the reasons for the sudden move will probably become visible in the next few weeks. I suspect that they will be seen to be related to the CEO selection ... and withdrawal of support for at least one person that was probably 'holding out' for some goal or objective that was ultimately seen as unworkable ... remember the original 4 to 6 month CEO search ... the CEO(s) probably told the BOD that he/she/they wouldn't go along with the status quo.

I think we will find that someone of considerable influence (in the past) finally agreed to 'get out of the way' ... 2 (or less) weeks ago, and it is likely that person is the real reason that Mr Marengi didn't do as well as I think he should have ... he was probably 'on a leash' ... the leash holder just became a non-problem.

Only speculation, of course ... I have no way of really knowing.
