I also want to hear what others think. Especially on this topic.

The relationships here are complex and complicated by the exchange of money and information (between the members and the providers of the service), the expectation that the information is held in trust, the rules under which we all agree to participate, the way in which those rules are abused by the members and unevenly enforced by the providers of the service.

Add to that the relationships between the members and the complexities that arise there.

Then throw into the mix the companies (or other entities, or persons) which make up the topics, but who do not themselves (usually) participate -- they have "rights" too, it would seem to me.

The fact that this community is a sub-culture of the most litigious society in the world, is not merely "the icing on the cake." Rather it would be the cake and the icing -- SI would be merely the cherry on top of the cake in this metaphor.

But some want to make jokes. I understand that impluse. I'm just not in a joking mood about this topic.
