I don't know about going into debt to buy the stock but I totally agree that the current price is ridiculous. I for one am shifting out of some of my other stocks into this one because the risk-reward ratio is just too attractive to pass up.

Portfolio Management 101:
Question: What is the present value of the stock?

Answer: The summation of discounted future free cashflow of the
business. (Which is highly positive in TLC's case)

Meaning: All the worry about the goodwill and debt will not result in
any long term effects to the company.

Remember everyone... the shorts have sold over 6.3 million shares of this stock. They will need to cover their positions eventually (i.e. April at the latest - assuming TLC doesn't preanounce any shortfall). Given just a small bounce (say 10-15%) they will all be scrambling at once to buy.
