Looks like colors are everywhere ... even in Ken Hoffman's column in today's Houston Chronicle. Hoffman lives in West University Place, an incorporated neighborhood that adjoins Rice University, and he had this to say about his mayor ....
Madame Mayor, Linda Lewis, paints her toenails different colors. I don't mean she changes the color week to week. I mean each toenail is a different color.
"One day, while waiting for a pedicure, I was trying to choose a color and started arranging multiple colors. I liked the way they looked," Lewis said.
"Each little piggy is different. Remember, some ate, some didn't, some went away, some cried. So why should they all be treated the same?
"Since I usually wear open-toed Birkenstocks, my toes are a visible reminder to other people to recapture their own playful spirit.
"Of course, some folks would tell you that my multicolored toes mean I'm just plain weird. They might not be wrong, either!
"Paint your toes -- it will make you smile."
