One of the things that has always worried me about Oracle is Ellison's tendency to want to find excitement in things like fast cars and boats. Isn't running a multi billion dollar business exciting enough? One thing about Bill Gates is that he lives for MSFT. You don't get in ORCL's position by having dumb management, so if Ellison can devote himself to business it could be good for ORCL. I don't doubt his ability, just his powers of concentration.<<gg>>
I consider SEBL to be in a different business than SAP or PSFT. Though it will likely change eventually, they are really not competitors now. Actually ORCL, SAP, and PSFT are considered "back office" software concentrating on accounting, manufacturing. and resource management. SEBL is in "front office" software concentrating on sales, marketing, and customer support.
