I was in venture capital a couple of years ago. << no way sophisticated venture capital investors from Chase Capital Partners (www.chasecapital.com), Gordon Campbell's Techfarm/Techfund Inc. (www.techfarm.com), Cambridge Samsung Partners (www.cspartners.com), Mitsui Comtek Corp. (www.mitsuicomtek.com) and Databook Inc. would have accepted the offer of purchase>> None of these are premier names. And, I don't think WAVX could have paid cash. WAVX may have been their only offer, and so stock was their only recourse. It is not significant that they took stock as payment.
