John, per a l989 law, the banks can restrict withdrawels on any deposit, no matter how large, to $100 upon deposit, and an additional $400 upon clearing. On $1000, on $10,000, on $100,000,any amount. Its been on the books for 10 years, but has not been enforced. Expect that as the first in the series of coming enactments re: restrictions/prohibitions on withdrawels.

BTW, what is your basis for belief that the banks won't close, or for only a few days at most?
