Scumbria, re:AMD just introduced a CPU which runs at least 10% faster MHz than Intel's fastest. It also runs at 10-50% greater architectural performance than Intel's fastest CPU. By all definitions, this sounds like a "high end CPU". You're making some very BIG assertions based on only limited data from biased sources. IMO, Intel will have their 600 PIII out in the market place before anyone can buy a K7-600. Also, I've been "hearing" K7 integer performance only on-par with PIII at same clock speeds and FP performance, on average, "somewhat faster", again based on the configuration. That's besides the point. AMD will have major problems providing the infrastructure for a K7 system, AT LEAST for the next 6 months. Therefore, I would hardly call AMD a major player in the high-end, despite all the K7 hype. joey
