I am considering selling half my net stock positions in my IRA account tomorrow morning. I am hoping for a mild pullback over the course of the day- if it occurs, then plan would be to buy back at end of day, expecting a good week to come. If steep decline, then hold off on buy, and see what shakes out next week. I can't see big up day tomorrow (light news day, no critical economic reports or earnings) so risk of missing a big upswing seems to be small.

My only reservation is that while I have a good track record so far with week-months time frame investments, my short term (1-2 day) trades have been lukewarm at best.

I am trying to quantify risk/benefit in my mind to try to stop trading on emotion. On this one, I would estimate 80/20 (80% chance breaking even or coming out with more shares/20% forced to buy at end of day a higher price).
