Mama Bear: Well I did not think I would be agreeing with you anytime soon, but you are right...alias or not...folks do develop an SI online persona via their online record of post.

Folks have a right to their privacy, period. If an egregious post is made on SI, there are legal remedies regardless of aliases being involved. This whole discussion is born out of the concern that SI members have a right to know if their personal information has been subpoenaed in advance of said information being provided to a third party when such notification is legally permitted. At the very least, SI should inform the member after the fact!
