It would make far more sense for AT&T to take them over. It gives them a real strong postiion in China, gets then into the new 3G technology, and gets them the GSM buildouts they want. They also have enough cash to do this. It would give them a premeir positon in handsets to supply AT&T handsets to the world as well...
