Ok. It's urban myth. The guy couldn't afford to hire a lawyer. As far as I know he got fucked. This wasn't a he said she said deal. There's another urban myth about a lawyer who stood to make more from losing a case than winning it. I can give you that one too. There's also the urban myth that Illinois Supreme Court Justice Heiple drove away from a DUI claiming the police had no jurisdiction.
