Allan Leinwand, Vice President of Engineering and
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Leinwand is a recognized expert in internetworking design and
implementation. Prior to joining Digital Island he served as Senior
Consulting Engineer at Cisco Systems, where he designed and
deployed global internetworks for large corporations, governments
and institutions. Before Cisco, Mr. Leinwand spent three years at
Hewlett-Packard as a network designer and implementation engineer.
Both at Cisco and Hewlett-Packard, he was instrumental in the
creation of industry-standard network-management platforms. The
co-author of the books "Network Management: A Practical
Perspective, 2nd Edition" and "Cisco Router Configuration: A
Practical Introduction to Cisco IOS Configuration", he teaches at the
University of California at Berkeley, in the Telecommunications
Certificate Program. Mr. Leinwand holds a B.S. in Computer Science
from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Bruce Pinsky, Vice President of Solutions Engineering and
Chief Information Officer
Mr. Pinsky's expertise is in the escalation of complex customer
technical issues involving diverse networking and computing
environments for large corporations. Prior to Digital Island, he worked
at Cisco Systems' Customer Engineering and Global Support
Engineering organizations, trouble-shooting and implementing global
Internets. Before Cisco, he held senior positions at SSDS, a network
consulting firm. At Lockheed Integrated Solutions Company, he
performed systems management and deployed integrated systems.
Mr. Pinsky is also co-author of the book "Cisco Router Configuration:
A Practical Introduction to Cisco IOS Configuration." Mr. Pinsky holds
a B.S. in Computer Science from the California State University,
