>>Is that what Jesus taught you? To ignore and undervalue the world in which we live because it is temporary and to let it go to rot.<<
No, on the contrary He taught me
"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes Him should not perish but have eternal life"
Also, from the epistle of John
"This world is passing away and the lusts thereof"
So then to follow Jesus I'm am to share His concern for the souls of this world and love them. This physical world is to be destroyed. It is said of Jesus:
"Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of thy hands; They will perish, but thou remainest; And they all will become old as a garment, And as a mantle thou wilt roll them up As a garment they will be changed. But thou art the same, And thy years will not come to an end."
He is so powerful He will accomplish this with no more effort than you and I expend in changing cloths. Since this is true we ought not be attached to the material things in this world. People are a different matter -- Jesus gave His life for All.
He is real, He loves you and He desires only good for you. Look to Him Ignacio and quit trying to stir up strife among brothers.
