That does seem to signal an possible takeover. WebPainter was not mentioned much at all on the tv interview. The company's future was focussed squarely on LiveStage. And being in such a cash poor position I can't imagine THW making any kind of offer for those patents unless the potential buyer required it. Whoever the buyer is let's get the deal done and get these products some proper marketing behind them. I think this move indicates a possible Apple deal as Adobe probably wouldn't have much interest in WebPainter. They already have a product to compete with Fireworks.
