I'm thinking now of "The Myth of Sisyphus" or the writings of Epictetus or Sartre: profound thoughts derived from commonplace occurences.

Well no, I don't roll a boulder up a hill every day and it's a mundane thought at best, but look at the crisp and profound statement made by a great writer on a "trivial" topic!
