Hello Dennis,

In answer to your question about Loadwc, Osa, and Rnaapp, it is not necessary to have them running all the time. Loadwc checks to see if IE is your default browser, and can be turned off via Internet Options in Control Panel (click on the Programs tab and uncheck the box at the bottom about checking for IE as the default browser). Osa is short for Office Startup Assistant, I don't know what it does, but I've had it disabled ever since I installed Office 97 over a year ago, and have never had any problems. If I remember correctly, you can delete it from the start-up menu. Rnaapp is started whenever you go on line using dial-up-networking. If you are not online, you can turn it off through Task Manager. It will automatically start again the next time you go online. Explorer and Systray are started through the registry, and need to be running. Hope this helps.

Alan
