Support and attachment are one thing; shock/wave dampening another. It would be triply difficult because the structure contains water. But very interesting. It's too bad I don't have time to look through some of me rezources; I would enjoy it. They're "isolating" more labs and buildings now, rather than just strengthening them.
In the preview of The Big Lebowski that we saw, Jesus and Goodman are polishing their balls. I laughed hard. Far out. I also like the dancing sequences, very much; wonderful touch. Fractal, kind of.
The "modern" house in the movie is a famous (and pretty darn cool, even if useless) CA one, whose architect I forget. Naturlich. I have at times forgotten them all, save Wright. Even forgot the Greenes once. Phylogeny recapitulates ontogeny, unless it forgets; in which case it stands around looking stupid.
(It says, "Oh yeah. I heard about that. Once.")
If you can EVER see the documentary of the Spanish Master Antonio Gaudi, don't miss it. Specially in a theatre. Sacred stuff, I would guess. Inspiring.
Dash did quake upgrades to the Jet Propulsion Labs. He really liked getting a security badge. Really liked it. But then, that's Dash. The guy doesn't think he's smart. He exhibits some simple, Pure, behaviors. But I think he's incredible. Such odd combinations. I guess there's no way to measure perceptiveness. The "what" about something a person will perceive, and of "what" quality.
He can't be replaced.
I wish he'd quit smoking. |
