Tidel Reports New Records for ATM Shipments; Highest Quarterly Shipments Ever for June 1999; Highest Calendar Year-to-Date Shipments for 1999 HOUSTON, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Tidel Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATMS - news) continues its record-setting sales momentum with 1,939 new ATMs sold during the three-month period ended June 30, 1999 -- a 41% increase from the 1,379 units shipped in the same quarter of 1998. The unit sales reflect the best quarter ever surpassing by 28% the previous shipment record set in March 1999 of 1,511 ATMs.
For the first-half of calendar 1999, the company shipped a record 3,450 ATMs, an increase of 38% from the 2,510 units shipped in the first-half of calendar 1998. In comparison, Tidel shipped 4,324 ATMs for all of calendar 1998.
Full financial results for the quarterly period ended June 1999 are expected to be released on or about July 22, 1999 coinciding with the company's annual stockholders meeting.
