I've copied my post of this morning over here because I am fed up with the "crap" that is going on on the other IDTC thread. This has gone on just too long!!!
"Go figure" Yeah! We figured it out Herb. You did a hatchet job on IDT, one week before its NTOP IPO, based on implied false accusations, which turned out to be MEANINGLESS.
---IDT made a loan to Lermer Overseas Telecommunications which not only exists, but was, and is, repaying IDT on time. (This is directly counter to the main charge of Herb's article.)
---The "technical non-existence of Lermer Overseas Communications", turns out to be caused by an oversight by the company, and New York State dissolving the company because it was in arrears in paying their NYS franchise tax, (apparently only a matter of a few hundred dollars). That as soon as IDT became aware of the oversight, steps were taken by both IDT and Lermer Overseas Telecommunications to rectify the error.
---Simon Lermer DID return Herb's phone call within hours after Herb first released his report. However even after that phone call was returned, Herb failed to acknowledge it, and even printed a report yesterday accusing Lermer of not returning his call. Further Herb insinuated that Lermer may be "hiding out", or may not even exist. That evidently, Mr. Lermer made a second call to Greenberg, and Herb still had the nerve to print this morning, (almost 36 hours after the first returned call), "The IDT Plot Advances: Simon Lermer Finally Calls Back". How come Herbie neglected to report this fact yesterday, and not until, FINALLY, this morning made mention of the first returned call? Was this truly an oversight on Herb's part, or is something more nefarious going on??? "The plot advances"
Yes we figured it out! Herb Greenberg wrote an accusatory article which triggered almost a 20% sell off of IDTC, in less than two trading days, and all Herb Greenberg had to say was "Go figure". Herb Grenberg abused his implied journalistic responsibilities and doesn't even have the decency to acknowledge it. Jules
