Car Dealers Now Transacting Pre-Owned Inventories Over the Internet

AutoTradeCenter.com CFO Roger Butterwick explained his company's Internet site,
which enables car dealers to buy and sell pre-owned inventories over the Internet. “We
primarily deal with inventory which is coming off a lease or purchase contract that is three
years old or newer,” he said. “We offer the dealers a firm bid price for the car and in turn,
they can search our site to obtain vehicles they need for their customers.”
The company reported revenues in their first full year of operation of $97 million. In the
first quarter of 1999, reported revenues reached the $33 million mark.
