Looks like Plata is about to come to life for the first time in two years. After spinning its wheels for five months it sounds like some serious work has gone on to make the change to Plata Capital, and to shift the investment focus from mining to E-business and Internet shares. A few weeks ago the rumors started in Calgary and over a half a million shares traded based upon the expectation of a significant acquisition and press release announcing it. The press release only indicated that Plata was changing its focus and moving into this new line of business. Then everything stopped as their financials had to be filed before the extended deadline. With that out of the way the rumors have started again--Plata is about to announce a significant or more than one significant investments in the businesses that are positioned to capitalize upon the Internet opportunity. Plata's investors relations are promising significant press releases to start next week. Sounds like they are finally ready to get serious. Any comments? Spinner
