IBM already announced this capability and made an announcement in China regarding advancements in this technology for IBM China's marketing organization. The tonal aspects of Asian languages offers significant challenges but if you think about it, personalized voice-printing allows for unique accents, inflections, tonal context, and dialects. Then the software and microcode within the PC takes over and does the conversion into machine language that can communicate with other machines which, in turn, "translates" into something the receiver can understand. Ultimately, it is the only way to create seamless communications in this part of the world.
