DAPRA,
I don't know about GTCI's earnings. I spent a lot of time recently in China helping a Chinese company to complete a deal with a US company. (The news on that deal was announced last week.) During that time, I did call GTCI's Shenzhen office and had some conversations with Michael Wang there. I also met top management in one of the top three telecom companies in China and learned that GTCI was in contact with them. Out of the four businesses (ISP, ICP -- Internet content provider, IP -- phone or fax, and GPS) I know they are pursuing there, two of them (ISP and IP) are still restricted. That means GTCI can't own more than 35% of these business. As a result, they have to keep a "low profile" there and "working quitely" (Michael's words).
From what I learned in China, I think ISP and ICP won't generate significant earning in short term (strictly my own opinion). IP phone (mainly Phone-to-Phone) and fax has a good chance to generate a lot of earning once the restriction is removed. (Right now that's the only way for other telecom companies to break China Telecom's monopoly in long distance business. These other companies can't do fixed line telecom business but can do value-added telecom business which include IP phone. ) Currently there are only three companies who have the license to test IP phone. The telecom company GTCI was in contact with was one of the three. (Of course there are other companies that are in contact with this telecom company too.)
I don't know the revenue potential of the GPS business.
I met the Chinese counterpart of head of the US FCC at a dinner. He said the value added service market (including ISP and IP) will be opened up once (if) China enters WTO this year. I hope GTCI will be well positioned at that time.

I use yyong in Raging Bull but I hasn't posted much lately.
