This must be a real confidence builder for Ericy shareholders! Press Release 7/9 - Lars Ramqvist Chief Executive of Ericsson It was a unanimous Board, including the union representatives, which announced on July 7, 1999 the resignation of Sven-Christer Nilsson from the position as President and CEO of Ericsson and which at the same time decided to appoint Lars Ramqvist as CEO and Kurt Hellström as President of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson. We wish to clarify that it was a strong wish of all members of the Board that Lars Ramqvist was asked to return to the position as CEO. Lars Ramqvist himself did of course not participate in the decision and had in no way expressed any wish whatsoever to return, even if temporarily to any operative role in the company.
