You seem to believe that the only cost for a brick and mortar bank will be the cost of the internet setup. That is simply not true. The real cost to the b&m bank will be the cannibalization of their B&M depositors to new Internet accounts. It is like saying that if you want to get in your car and drive down and stand in line, we will pay you 1.5% on your money. If you want to stay at home and mail your check, we will pay you 4.5%. All other benefits being equal.......
