Thanks for the book tip Doug and the reminder. I will check it out. (I am working very very long hrs...) Regarding FONR I have not seen anything that takes away from that trade or that appears ill intentioned on any one's part on this thread. I have a saying "dirt washes off" which applies to just about everything except wet paint.

Manipulation of securities is done by empowered entities such as companies, yep insiders always just happen to sell at the high points I can give you examples rigth off the top of my head.. They also buy in the right places, also funds and stock specialists fool the small investors by painting the tape..Nasdaq has a lot problems with that. A steep retrace after a break to the upside or bullish sign is a sure bet of a fake paint job or bad news. (ie; Fonr this week faked up then stepped down and threw the daily oscillator into a sell).

In a competitive economy a company needs to perform all the way down the line. It needs to outperform the competition in cost performance and execution.

That is why a lot of good companies do not make it. The measure of excellence is always growth and earnings. That is what is reported to the SEC and it is what it is.. (ok ok bad companies cook the books but not for long). That's why the Dow is where it is..growth and earnings.

Did you see Final match at Wimbledom 1995 Borg defeated Mac Enroe in a phenomenal match.. well McEnroe had a better grass game than Borg ever did, who was a clay court specialist and had no technical right to own that title 5 yrs in row. But Borg was in better mental and physical condition than McEnroe (and everyone else) McEnroe because of his ability never was in good condition..never had to be in condition to play 5 sets and a monster tie breaker and thats how shit happens.. in life and in stocks..

FONR and MAMO and ANMR etc these companies have a bright future but it
depends on how well they excute. Can they get buyers? can they build great systems which earn then the respect of the radiology community?
the patients? the hospital administrators? will they be "the smoking gun in a court of law?" One thing you can be sure of if the products find widespread acceptance and become widely deployed.. we will make money for years to come. This machines have a 10 or 15 yr life and then are reborn in third world markets... so like good wine we must wait until its done. That is the displine...
