Liquid Audio went public today, and as of noon it's at 38 down from a high of 48. Music Maker, HITS, went public earlier in the week and is down to 18 from a high of 28.

I believe they are mainly a downloader for music to be burned onto CD's. This requires more software and hardware.

Has MP3 already made CD's go the way of vinyl and the dodo bird?
