CARI breaking out, coverage starts Monday.

CareInsite is developing a Web-based network for use
by health care providers and their patients. The firm's
product will offer e-commerce, information, and
messaging services to doctors, suppliers, laboratories,
and administrators. The network uses software by
health care information systems provider Cerner
Corporation. CareInsite currently provides services to
and owns 20% of The Health Information Connection
LLC (or THINC), which offers health care information
to managed care providers in the New York area. It has
teamed up with MedPartners to offer online
prescription services. Plastics and health care
communications firm Synetic owns about 73% of
CareInsite; Cerner owns 19%.
