jim, not really. i focus on reality. imho, the economics of the pc market are such that joe six pack won't pay up for the improved rdram performance (which i heard is nil in a lot of apps anyways). heck, joe is willing to pay so much for computers, why do the box makers keep lowering their prices? is it a charitable contribution? ;-) Phil the physicist might pay up, but he represents a small portion of the overall market. gil the gamer's parents might pay up, too. again, small potatoes for the dram market. the only way to drive costs anywhere near other dram is to ramp output. massively. i don't see it happening. few end buyers.
