A Rascal Squirrel has been raiding our bird feeder.
Now I'm aware, that that squirrel is only doing what comes naturally . However, in all fairness, that bird seed we put out is for the birds, not for the squirrels.
So---what to do. We have the feeder on a six foot high 4 x 4 post where we can see it from our window and watch the birds come and go.
Solutions? We thought of several.
Sticky glue/honey.
Put the feeder at a different site using a round metal pole.
Use a gun and shoot the squirrel (s).
Create some sort of trap and redeposit the squirrels a few miles away.
Take the bird feeder down and admit defeat.
Cry a lot.
Well---my good wife came up with a solution that has been working great now for the last several days.
