Off Topic : Some nice Walleye up to 7 lbs. Some Northerns, one 13 lbs ( locally refer to pike as snakes and many guides won't allow them in their nets). They're great eating though, as you know. Had tremendous storms and about 500-600 huge white and redpines layed flat. Quite an experience. I was asking around and they said it was great fishing this year in the North West where you're headed. I lost one HUGE pike at the boat and it was the meanest, snarliest thing you ever saw. Its eyes were mean and wide apart, viscious razor teeth, covered with scars and gouges from fighting, a nauseating green and black and it roamed the whole lake taking charge and thrusting its version of law and order on all the other little fishies. It was truly a scary sight. I nick-named it "mama bare". Apologies to the thread for this OT.
