I'm from the AOL thread and this thread was mentioned last night due to a post by Voltaire on AOL.My response to your way of handling "cold calls" is as follows:Your way would indeed work but,human nature being what it is,most people will say "thank you but I'm not interested ,goodbye".That said,I think that people should always do and say what their most comfortable with.
