Steve,

how much did you pay for the 170 Jan 99 calls?, Since you bought it in Dec 96, My guess is that you paid about $15 for it...,

If I were you, I would have no problem hold it at $15 cost basis, there is a very good chance that INTC will be well over $200 by Jan/99,

But if you feel otherwise, you may want to sell 170 Jan 98 calls to reduce your investment, you can do this again, by selling 180 Jan 99 call at Jan 98.

Of course, the risk is if INTC goes above 170 by Jan 98, you may have to close out the call (the ones you sold) at a loss.
