MISSISSAUGA, ON--

Mond Industries Inc. ("Mond") today announced that it intends to
change its year end from December 31 to the last Friday in
September to coincide with the year end of its controlling
shareholder, Trailmobile Corporation, which controls Mond through
its wholly-owned subsidiary, 1314385 Ontario Limited. The
transition year end for Mond will be the period ended September
24, 1999. The Company will prepare and file Audited Financial
Statements as at that date with comparative Financial Statements
for the 12 months ended December 31, 1998. Its new fiscal year
end will be the 53 weeks ended September 29, 2000.
