Edmund; There has been a lot of talk lately about the chat lines and other means of data dissemination are being used by crooks to promote stocks. How many of you get e-mail for all kinds of stocks, I get 10-20 per day. Some legit and some fraud. Hard to tell the difference. The threads allow us to winnow the wheat from the chaff. So if there are 30-40 active posters and they have around 70% approval of a stock that ives me a level of confidence. But what if ten posters are one man/woman(dumbeat et al) then they can distort my view. In fact group lie to all the thread. This is why we only have one vote in a political election. You should have one vote on the thread too. That is why SI kicked her off, she was multi voting. How many want that. How many want to make what you feel are group decisions with the high level of group approval reinforcing your decision and warranteeing it against you making an error, with some one multi posting, buy buy buy buy buy buy, etc. I don't herd well, but some who do herd well liked dumbeats multipostings.
