"When Microsoft posts...45c in EPS" baseline consensus is .36. chief financial officer said he was comfortable with the street consensus (or words to that effect) very late in the quarter. why would he say that if he knew the number was so much higher? it's one thing to be conservative early on--but not after the fact. the latter is an outright lie in my view. i don't believe the number will exceed .39. regards
