Lazurus..

Here is a family favorite way of doing brisket and it is just as tasty done in the oven as on the grill. I served this for a party along with a Honey Baked Ham. Lots of ham left over and not a bite left of the brisket. Next time I will just do two briskets.

Mix one can of whole berry cranberry sauce (not the jellied type) with one package of dried Lipton onion soup.

Make a foil tent type package to set the brisket in, pour over the onion cranberry mixture, spreading evenly. Tightly join the foil edges to keep the heat in, but make sure the package is bigger than the brisket ( a loose fit, but tightly closed) and bake at 350 about 1 hr per lb, or grill if you prefer. The sauce creates a fabulous taste treat, sorta sweet, sorta crunchy onion and tender beyond belief.

I am making myself hungry!
