Uh, Hi Christine, What exactly do you mean when you say that miss penni and I now KNOW each other?
We only spent about an hour together and it got kind of interesting when my wife called me on my cell while I was riding from the airport with penni, to ask where I was because my son was looking for me at the Dallas airport. (When I left for this side trip to Louisville 2 days before, I had told him at least 3 times not to pick me up because I had a ride, and that it if there was any trouble that I would call him on his cell.) I said that I was picked up by ...er... a friend already. She asked "what friend, you don't know anybody in Dallas?". I answered " Oh, just an internet friend that knew for a couple of years from the internet."
So, I thought that it was over when she called back again while penni and I were in a restaurant because she hadn't eaten yet, and I was thirsty because it was about 95 out, and my wife asked "what are those dishes rattling in the background?" (penni is very noisy when she eats) I said "Oh, I decided to stop with my friend for something to eat because, uh, sshhee was hungry and I was thirsty anyway." "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, SHE?" my wife asked inquisitively. I said that I would explain later.
I called my wife later to explain that it was no big deal, that this woman was about 60, and just an acquaintance from the internet. (Man, I hope penni doesn't see this. She told me that she can't read all of the posts at Feelings and DAR anymore.)
Well, now I am back in Rockport. My brother-in-law picked me up at the airport. "You are in deep shit", he said with a smirk on his face. It seems that my wife told her sister (his wife) that I met an internet girlfriend while I was in Dallas and I took her out to dinner. Remember when my son flew to meet an internet girlfriend about a year ago? She saw it as the same type of deal.
I got leftovers when I got home that I had to warm up myself, when I usually was greeted with a hot meal upon returning from a trip. Penni sure causes a lot of trouble. Everyone be real careful if you ever meet her in Dallas!
