Tommy:" V-Twins " The rumour was HDI might wed DMH, and of course, it makes perfect sense to us moto-heads because they're both vee-twins (^_^) And (yow!) a newly-dressed *hog* costs about the same as the drop-dead-gorgeous *996, about twice* as much as any rice-rocket from Honda, Yamaha or Kawasaki; nice niche ! Yes Tommy, I have read the book from the Doctor and laffed myself silly at the movie! I would love to tell ya that the guys in SFO called me "gonzo" because of the way I write - but the truth is that I got that handle after standing over an 8086/87 breadboard in the early eighties with an army-surplus crystal plugged into the clock socket, holding a can of freon over the sizzling chips to claim the fastest FLOPS record on the LeftCoast... er, for that week, anyway ! -Steve PS - R.I.P. and GodBless Pete, he did it his way.
